What are the Cause of world war1
Answers
There were MANY causes for the FWW (First World War), I will just mention a few:
1) Aggressive nationalism- People started loving their own country and wanted t do good for it but at the same time, they developed an intense hatred for other countries and tried to pull them down.
2) Race for armaments- Germany was one of the strongest world powers at the time. It started manufacturing more and more weapons ( armaments) in the name of safety. the number of weapons per each country was violated. Seeing this, other countries feared their safety and also started a competition for weapons.
3) Capturing of territories-
- France wanted its two iron-deposited provinces, Alsace and Lorraine, back from Germany which Germany had occupied after defeating France in the Franco-Prussian war.
- Italy wanted its territories of Trentino and Trieste from Austria- Hungary back.
- All the Balkan states wanted their natives which had migrated to other countries, to come back and form an even bigger Balkan State.
4) Division of Europe- Germany's ruler, Bismark, had boycotted France from all other countries but itself signed a treaty with other countries.
- Germany and Austria-Hungary formed a DUAL ALLIANCE. Italy joined it in 1882 and made it the TRIPLE ALLIANCE. Later Turkey also joined it.
After the death of Bismark, France also entered into a treaty in 1907 to counter the "ALLIED POWERS".
- France, Britain and Russia formed the TRIPLE ENTENTE in 1907. Later Japan also joined it.
These were known as the "ENTENTE POWERS".
5) Sarajevo Crisis- The heir of Austria , Archduke Francis Ferdinand was assassinated at Sarajevo by a society called "BLACK HANDS" as the society wanted all the Balkan states( including Austria) to come together.
Hope this helps you!! PLZZZZZZ mark as brainliest!:)))
