CAUSES OF TSUNAMI
A tsunami is a series of waves caused by an earthquake, underwater volcanic eruption, landslide or other abrupt disturbance. There are some devastating effects of a tsunami, including the loss of life, which can grow into the hundreds of thousands.
Tsunami are actually waves caused by sudden movement of the ocean due to earthquakes, landslides on the sea floor, land slumping into the ocean, major volcanic eruptions or large meteorite impacts.
EFFECTS OF TSUNAMI
Just like other water waves, tsunamis begin to lose energy as they rush onshore - part of the wave energy is reflected offshore, while the shoreward-propagating wave energy is dissipated through bottom friction and turbulence.

a Tsunami develops when a large mass of water is displaced. This can be catches by and undersea earthquake or a volcanic eruption .when an undersea earthquake occurs it causes large areas of sea floor to rise of subslide .this lead to the occurrence of huge waves .
