Explanation:

Indian migrant workers during the COVID-19 pandemic have faced multiple hardships. With factories and workplaces shut down due to the lockdown imposed in the country, millions of migrant workers had to deal with the loss of income, food shortages and uncertainty about their future.Following this, many of them and their families went hungry.Thousands of them then began walking back home, with no means of transport due to the lockdown. In response, the Central and State Governments took various measures to help them, and later arranged transport for them. 198 migrant workers died due to the lockdown, with reasons road accidents.

Answer:

Causes being that-

The pandemic has affected many countries worldwide, including ours. especially economically and financially. it has caused many businesses to plummet and therefore leading to people losing their jobs.

When they lose their jobs they have no where to except their hometowns expecting to be accepted atleast over there, and to find jobs there in their hometowns. thus leading to many workers across the country to migrate.

Not just in our country but our people from other countries as well; (eg:an Indian somewhere abroad) if they are away from their families who are in India they might want to come back and stay with them because all jobs had to be closed temporarily, and the lock down has shut people in their homes. Thus, leading to people migrating from outside the country as well
