the main cause for decrease in density of forests is increasing of population.its also because of man's selfishness.man is clearing forests for his development but which is only destroying him.people should change their ideology.man clears the forest for building, furniture etc.in doing these activities man is clearing a lot of forest areas. hence these are causes for decrease in density of forests.

There are many causes which leads to decrease in density of the forests:
1. Cutting down trees or deforestation- One of the main reasons of decrease is cutting down trees. Large number of trees are being cut for more area in the cities.
2. Population rise- Another factor which contributes to the decrease in the density of forests. As the population increases in city, more trees are cut down for larger space for new homes for the people's living.
3. Urbanization- the two factors above explains this point as it is clear that the trees are being cut down because of the increase of urbanization in the cities today.
4. Furniture, paper, buildings/Infrastructure- These factors are the part of primary requirements by humans. Furniture is important for many usages that we have daily. Papers are a key requirement to stronger base in knowledge. And infrastructure are the basic luxuries in a city.
