The growth of population is absolutely one of the main causes which leads to rise in the public expenditure.

The growth of population resulted in the increase in the needs of man and also there was an extensive need of more space and food to house and feed the increasing population . This resulted in the reduction of the net area under agriculture which led to the shortage of goods and hence increase in there price.
