Answer:In arid areas, saline soils are formed due to evapotranspiration and lack of rainfall to flush the soils. ... The practice of waterlogging without adequate drainage has also become a serious cause of soil salinization . Waterlogged soils prevent leaching of the salts imported by the irrigation water.

the causes for the formation of the saline soil is the various products used by today's farmers in order to get the excessive yield of the crops. firstly it's because of the fertilizers which rise on the water surface when there is waterlogging in case of season of paddy sowing due to which all the salts come up on the surface of the soil and it loses all the minerals and moreover there is no rest for the soil in order to recover all this type of mineral loss because in each and every season another crop is sown so in this way there are various other factors which affects its salinity and thus increase it which is not good for us
