India is the second most populated country in the world and the most of the Indian population is situated in the Urban areas of the India, because;

1) The facilities availablity in the Urban areas are much more efficient than the rural areas.

2) The first scope of development is always for the urban areas.

3) The different services are also easily available in the urban areas of our country.

For the above mentioned reasons the population density is greater in the urban areas of our country.
