In the state of Kunihar, the peasants launched a movement against the atrocities of the administration.  People voiced against Rana.  The princely government.  With the help of the British, this movement was suppressed and the instigators were put in jail.  1921 A.D.  In Babu Kanshi Ram of Kunihar and Satyanand Stokes of Kotgarh voiced against forced labor in the hill states.  Satyanand Stokes launched a movement against the forced labor in all the hill states.  In order to create awareness among the people, he took many articles.  And held conferences at various places.  In 1921, Stokes also held a conference in Rampur, the capital of the Bushehr princely state.  After this, Raja Padma Singh of Bushhar (1914 - 1947) assured to abolish forced labor in the princely state.
