What are the causes of land degradation and ehat are its remedies?????

Land degradation is a process in which the value of the biophysical environment is affected by a combination of human-induced processes acting upon the land.
It is viewed as any change or disturbance to the land perceived to be deleterious or undesirable.  Natural hazards are excluded as a cause; however human activities can indirectly affect phenomena such as floods and bush fires.

i)over grazing - It has become most common for land degradation in states like Rajasthan and madhya Pradesh

ii) over irrigation - it has become most common in states like punjab and haryana

iii) mining- it is main cause for land degradation in states like jharkhand and chattisgarh
