River pollution is faced by today's man because of himself only. It happens due to following causes -
1. decomposition of waste material in the river bodies .
2. opening of sewage in it's tributaries.
3. throwing non decomposing materials into it .
4. bathing their animals in the rivers.
It can be controlled by awareing others about their consequences and harms. The rules established by government on their welfare are to be introduced and followed.
