Causes of French Revolution

1.On 5 May 1789 Louis XVI called together a meeting of estate general to pass a proposal for new taxes.The first and the second send three hundred members of each who seated in row facing each other while six hundred members of the third estate had to stand at the back.

2.At that time each estate had one vote.But the third estate demanded that each person should have one vote.But the king denied and the members if the third estate walked out of assembly in protest.

3.On 20th June the third estate declared themselves and drafted a constitution fir Franch which limited the powers if the monarch.They were led by Abbe sies and Mira Beau.

4There was an outbreak on the street where crowds of angry women stromed into the shopes after spending hours together in long quaue at the bakery.

5.At the same time the king ordered the troops to move inside Paris.On 14 th July 1789 the agitated crowed stormed and destroyed The Bastille.Louis XVI after facing the revolting subjects recognised the national assembly and also accepted that his powers would be check by the Constitution.

6.On the nights of 4 th August The national assembly passed a decree of abolishing the feudal system of taxes and obligation.
