bad weather led to bad harvest which led to the rise in price of bread 
king was least bothered about the common people

the treasury was empty as france supported the 13 american colonies in the war 
to accumulate resources louis 16 thought of increasing the taxes which only the third estate people would pay
they are the poorer people of the society 
people were angry with the king all this led to the revelution
