When Louis16 was the ruler of france he found the treasure empty. He participated in many wars and also helped American colonies to gain their independence from their common enemy,Britain. So to increase the treasure he divided the society into 3 estates-1st
2nd
3rd estate. And gave fuedral privilages to 1 and2 nd estate they were free from taxes and 3rd estate had to pay many taxes which made them angry then the population of france increased rapidly , conditions worsened in case of hailstorms leading to subsistence crises and also widened the diffrence between rich and poor. then Louise16 called the estates general meeting im which women and artisans and peasants were not suppose to attend it so women were disappointed they became angry when they had to stand in lOng ques. They had revolution by forming clubs. The agitated crowd stormed bastile then rumors spread that manor had hired bands of brigands who were on the way to destroy the ripe crops.these were the chain events which were responsible for french revolution......
