1) money and muscule power (the parties mostly take candidates who are rich or criminals to gain popular support)
2) dynastic succession (the top leaders are from the same family or hold close relation this undermines the spirit of democracy as other members don't get the chance)
3) lack of internal democracy in the parties tbe power is concentrated among the leaders and others do not have the influence on decisions)
4) choices- (parties come up with similar policies making it difficult for the people to choose)
