These are the following reasons, why birds are adapted to aerial mode of life:

1)Birds are endothermal, warm-blooded like species.

2)Body is structured and totally and compactly designed by nature to suit the conditions necessary for flying.

3)They are adapted for flights.

4)It is normally light weight due to the presence of air sacs.

5)Forelimbs converted into wings by nature.

6) limbs are large in shape and can  bear the weight of the whole animal.

6)Body is completely covered by feathers and  form a part of the exoskeleton.

The feathers are of four types viz. – Contour feathers, Filo plumes, .Quill feathers and Down feathers.Due to the presences of  air sacs and feathers, the birds can adapt the aerial mode of life
