The Changing Larynx. It's the larynx (or voicebox) that's causing all that noise. As the body goes through puberty, the larynx grows larger and thicker. It happens in both boys and girls, but the change is more evident in boys ( i hope its help you)

The larynx becomes bigger and thicker during the adolescence period

Both boys and girls experience voice changes as they grow older, but girls' voices get only a little deeper. A boy's voice, on the other hand, may changequite a bit — from sounding like a little kid to sounding like somebody's dad!
