Following a set of 29 tenants introduced by Guru Jambheshwar, Bishnoi (Vishnoi) also known as The Sacred Environmentalists, is a  Hindu sect is found in Western Thar Dessert.

Leading the Bishnoi Movement, Amrita Devi's aim was to save their sacred trees from being cut by the soldiers of the king of the time for a new palace.

This movement caused major environmental changes including the protection of trees, protection for animals being harmed, the animal hunt getting in control, the avoidance of a religious tradition of burning the dead by firing woods and burying the deceased.

Bringing an optimistic change in India Bishnoi Movement, The movement caused protective changes for the ecosystem.
