Environmental Science EVS was introduced in India to introduced the basic knowledge as a subject at primary level.
It is also meant to address the issues of attitudes, values and appreciation of the environment.
The basic characteristics of EVS :-------
1. It integrates biological, physical and information sciences making it a broad study.
2. It allows students to explore & integrate environment issues helping them to solve the problems & act to improve the environment.
