It is necessary to convey the message we want to be conveyed properly. It is also mandatory to share necessary information with the customer. Some common characteristics are-
- Attractive- The owner should always convey the message in a form that it is easily able to catch customer's eyes. It should be able to leave an impact.
- Believable- The advertisement must not state anything that is not believable in terms of product. For example, a toothbrush advertisement must not state that it will make the teeth white in the very first use, as it not practically possible.
- Exclusive- Add something unique in advertisement to make it attractive. For example, in an advertisement for a children book, one can add how the children can easily fall asleep if someone read them a children story.
- Desirable- Most important characteristic, the advertisement must be desirable. If currently the public is in need of masks, the advertisement on masks must state it's advantages and uses.
2. Characteristics related to customer reach-
The main impact of advertisement is measured by how well it reaches the audience. If it reaches desirably, the profit would be maximum.
- Correct media- For a mass impact, perfect media should be chosen. If you are advertising in a developed urban area, newspapers, magazines, television, etc can be impactful. But if a person is advertising in a region where ratio of illiterate people is more than literate one, newspaper, magazines would be of no use. At that moment, television media would be of more impact.
- Frequency- It basically refers to the number of times an advertisement is repeated in a particular time. Some ads require continuous advertising while other do not. This should be kept in mind.
