Following are the characters of the platyhelminthes:

1.They are "Aceolomates".

2.They show "Bilateral symmetry".

3.They are "Triploblastic".

4.Excretory system is in the form of "Flame cells".

5.Their bodies are soft, flat and dorsoventrally compressed.

6.They are mostly endoparasite such as tapeworm, liverfluck, blood fluck but some are free living such as planaria.

7.Some of them has power of regeneration such as planaria.
