The Chemical properties of acids are:-
Taste - Sour (Vinegar)
Smell - Frequently burn nose
Reactivity - Frequently react with metals to form H2

Neutralization:-

An acid when react with base, salt & water are produced.

Reaction with carbonates:-
Acid and carbonates are combined to produce salt, water & carbon dioxide.

Reaction with bicarbonates:-

Acid and bicarbonate are combined to produce salt, water & carbon dioxide.

Reaction with metal:-

Zinc, Aluminium, reaction with iron oxide.
