Hey there...!!

Firstly, what are acids?
=> Acids are the chemical compounds which release H+ ions in their aqueous solution.

Chemical Properties Of Acids (:

(1) When metals react with acids then they form their respective salts with the liberation of hydrogen gas.
Na + HCl ==> NaCl + H2

(2) When any acid reacts with metal oxides or hydroxides then they form their respective salts with the liberation if water molecule.
MgO + HCl ==> MgCl2 + H2O

(3) All carbonates and bicarbonates react with acids to form their respective salt with the liberation of water molecule and carbon dioxide gas.
CaCO3 + H2SO4 ==> CaSO4 + H2O + CO2

(4) All sulphides react with acids to form their respective salts with the liberation of H2S gas.
ZnS + HCl ==> ZnCl2 + H2S

(5) All sulphites react with acids to form their respective salts with the liberation of SO2 gas.
CaSO3 + HCl ==> CaCl2 +H2O + SO2

Hello Dost ☺

Answer :

Chemical properties of acids:

i) Acids react with active metals to give hydrogen gas.

Eg : Zn + H2SO4→ZnSO4 + H2

ii) Acids react with metal carbonate and metal hydrogen carbonate to give carbon dioxide.

Eg : NaHCO3 +HCl→NaCl + H2O + CO2

reaction.

iii) Acids react with bases to give salt and water. This reaction is called as neutralization

Eg : NaOH + HCl→ NaCl +H2O

iv) Acids react with metals oxides to give salt and water.

Eg : CuO + H2SO4→CuSO4 + H2O

Thanks ☺
