Endospermic and non-endospermic seed

Explanation:

Endospermic seeds are called those seeds that contain an endosperm within the mature seed.

It acts as a food store organ.

It is found in mono cot plants.

It is provide protection to the embryo and transfer essential nutrient to the growing embryo.

It is found in grain family which belongs to under family Poaceae,Fabaceae

The foods that are obtained provide high energy because it is rich in carbohydrate content.

Non- endospermic seed-

In this type of seeds,cotyledons take most of the space in the growing seed and thus the cotyledons provide materials that nourishes the growing embryo.

For ex- Peas and squash are called non endospermic seeds.
