Living things are the things which show movement in their body. basically 'body' means the structure of the object (here).

There are two types of things living things and non-living things.

So, Basically If someone says name some living things automatically it reminds me of humans the first.

Humans,animals,plants are living because of some things which they perform:

They breathe. (respiration)
They give birth or reproduce their young ones
They show movement in their body
They give response to stimuli

and many other characteristics.

Non-living things are just the opposite.
Things which don't show any of these properties they are termed as Non-living

Note: Things like nails,hair grow but they are not living things.
