Ferns are adapted to grow in dry environments as well. Mosses are few centimeters tall while ferns can grow higher than 4.5 m. Alternation of generations (sporophyte and gametophyte) found in both moss and ferns. Gametophyte is the dominant generation in mosses; sporophyte is dominant generation in ferns
