➣Through Air - Common cold or Tuberculosis germs released in air when infected person coughs, sneezes or spits. When healthy person breaths this infected air, he/she also gets infected. Some other diseases that spread through air are mumps, measles and flu.

➢Through Food and Water - When food and water contaminated by pathogens is consumed by a healthy person, he/she becomes exposed to infections. For examples, cholera, typhoid, polio and jaundice spread through contaminated food and water.

➣Through Direct Contact - If a healthy person shares items like towels, handkerchief, etc., with the patient, he/she is likely to become infected. Diseases such as common cold, tuberculosis, chicken pox, ringworm, etc., spread in this way.

➢Through Insects - Insectsspread diseases either through their bites or by transferring pythagens to food articles. Such insects are called carriers of germs.

When insects like flies, mosquitoes, cockroaches, etc., sit on dirt, pathogens stick on their bodies. When they again set on food, the transfer these germs to the food. A person consuming this contaminated food may become sick. Cholera is a disease that is spread by insects.

Malaria is also spread by the carriers of germs. When a female Anopheles mosquito bites a patient suffering from malaria, the malarial parasites and its body. When this mosquito bites a healthy person,it transfers the diseases causing parasites into the healthy person's body. Such insects are called vectors. The female aedes mosquito acts as a vector for the dengue virus.

➣Through Cuts and Wounds - Certain pathogens like tetanus enter the human body through cuts and wounds.

To prevent yourself from these diseases we should not share our usables with anyone.
