There are four main components of blood -
- Plasma - It is the liquid part of the blood which is in yellowish-colour and contains 90% water.It also contains enzymes ,food, protiens and other wastes.
- RBC(Red Blood Cells) - They are disc-shaped cells containing a red coloured pigment called haemoglobin in it. Haemoglobin helps in transportation of oxygen.
- WBC(White Blood Cells) - These are the fighting cells and are also called as warrior cells which protect us from infections caused by bacteria and foreign microbes.
- Platelets - The platelets are blood clotting factors at injury side to save lives.
