The main components of foods are carbohydrates, protein, fats, vitamins and minerals. These are called nutrients

Carbohydrates : sugar, starch etc

Protein: milk egg fish

Fat:Butter, ghee, milk, egg-yolk

Vitamins : Sunlight, fruits

Minerals : meat , cereals, pulses

5. Iodine- Formation of thyroid hormone. Ex- Dairy Products (Milk etc.)

6. Calcium- Helps in proper functioning of the nervous system and maintain healthy bones. Ex- Almonds & Yogurt
