Xylem( Transports water and minerals): Tracheids, vessels, xylem parenchyma, xylem fibres.

Phloem(Transports soluble substances of photosynthesis): Sieve tubes , companion cells, phloem parenchyma, phloem fibres.

Transpiration involves loss of water in form of vapour. When water is continuously lost, more water moves from shoots to leaves. This creates a suctional and steady pull of water from roots to leaves.

It also helps in temperature regulation.
