WHITE BLOOD CELLS are a major component of a body's immune system .

WBC's are composed of granulocytes (neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils) and non-granulocytes (lymphocytes and monocytes).

This cells of the immune system  are involved in protecting the body against both infectious disease and foreign invaders.
