Radical,also called free radical in chemistry, is a molecule that contains atleast one unpaired elrctron. Under special circumstances ,diradicals can be formed with unpaired electrons on each of two atoms, and these diradicals have a combining power of two.
It includes, besides organic radicals, substituents such as halogens, oxo, amino, nitro. Composite radicals usually be found under methane, methyl, acetyle.
