Supreme Court

The Supreme Court functions as a last resort tribunal. Its rulings cannot be appealed. It also decides on cases dealing with the interpretation of the constitution (for example, it can overturn a law passed by Congress if it deems it unconstitutional).

high court

High Courts are also Courts of Record (like the Supreme Court). The records of the judgements of the High Courts can be used by subordinate courts for deciding cases. All High Courts have the power to punish all cases of contempt by any person or institution.
