In thermodynamics, a reversible process is a process whose direction can be "reversed" by inducing infinitesimal changes to some property of the system via its surroundings. Throughout the entire reversible process, the system is in thermodynamic equilibrium with its surroundings.

Explanation:
Reversible Process:- It is the process which can be reversed and there will not be any trace left on the surroundings. At the end of the reverse process both the surroundings and the system goes in the initial state.
Conditions for reversible process are as follows-
- The process should occur very slowly.
- Mechanical equilibrium is required for the system.
- System to be in thermal equilibrium.
- No any new product to be formed which means the system is to be in chemical equilibrium.
- If there will be loss of heat because of friction then there will not occur reversible process it means reversible process needs frictional less surface.
- Examples- Frictionless pendulum, compression of a gas etc.
