When chelating ligands are formed complex then they are more stable due to formation of ring and but if form three member ring tthen less stable due to ring straain while 5,6 member ring are more stable chelating ligands are formed chelating Comp. and this process is called chelation..
so many other factors are responsible for stability of complexes,...
like as ligands stability , ion stability.,and central mental stability etc....
