The major conditions required for the formation of a tropical cyclone are given as follows:

  • The sea surface should be very large and its temperature should preferably be higher than 27 degrees Celsius.
  • Although the formation of cyclone is a complicated and natural process. It also require moist air condition
  • The force of Coriolis should be present and it should be sufficient for creating a cyclonic vortex.
  • The wind speed in the vertical direction should be accompanied with slight variations.
  • The presence of an already existing area which is low in pressure or has a lower level of cyclonic circulation.
  • Lastly the divergence over the sea level system should be present.
