He gets different thoughts as he was taught according to the voices of education he must be killed because he was golden in colour and venomous ..on the same time he thought that the snake must seek the poet's hospitality and adoration...he thought that killing him would be useless because the snake haven't caused any harm to him..

the writers arrogance and humanity are conflicting between his mind because his education tells to kill the snake but his humanity tells not to do anything because it has not done any harm to writer.
