Well, we find conflict between human and nature in the beginning of the story. Lencho is a farmer and he has a corn field that promising a good harvest but nature plays havoc. A terrible hailstorm destroys all the hope of Lencho as well as his corn field.

The second conflict between Lencho and the post office employees. As the postmaster sends seventy pesos instead of hundred as he couldn't be able to collect as much as Lencho required. After recieving money Lencho becomes angry and he thought that God wouldn't make mistake and also he could not denied Lencho. This means that post office employees might have taken the money. Therefore, Lencho describe them as a "bunch of crooks".

Here we see a conflict between Human and nature.
