What is Global warming?

Global warming is the increase in average Global temperature due to increase in amount of GHGs in Earth's atmosphere.

consequence of global warming-

\bold{(1)} \bold{Rise \ in \ sea \ level}. Global warming will melt Polar ice caps. If all the eyes on earth melts, about 200 feet of water would be added to surface of all oceans. Thus low lying coastal cities like Shanghai, Kolkata, Bangkok, Dhaka, Venice, etc. will be inundated.

\bold{(2)} \bold{Increase \ in \ global, \ temperature}. If present input trend of GHGs continued, the earth's Global temperature will rise.

\bold{(3)} \bold{Effect \ on\ agriculture}. Grain production will be reduced. India's annual monsoon rains may even cease together. One third Opp Global forest might be swept away. Desert are likely to increase.

\bold{(4)} Chances of hurricanes, cyclones & floods will be more.

\bold{(5)} Increased temperature and humidity caused by global warming will lead to spread of diseases like malaria, filariases, etc. due to spread of vectors. Incidence of respiratory and skin diseases are likely to increase.
