Answer:
Answer:Answer: (a) When a cell possess higher water concentration than the surrounding medium then exosmosis occurs In the cell due to the difference in water concentration in the cell and surrounding medium and cells shrinks. (b) When a cell has low water concentration than surrounding medium then.

Answer:
a) Exosmosis
The cell has higher water concentration, which means it has less solute concentration than the surrounding medium. Such, solution is said to be hypertonic. ... This process is called as exosmosis .
b) Hypotonic
- if a cell is placed in a Hypotonic solution ,i,e (in a solution having higher concentration of water or low concentrations of solute ) the cell will gain water by osmosis .the cell swells up because more water molecules enter the cell than will leave , resulting in the movement of water inside the cell .this process is called endosmosis.
- c) Such a solution is known as hypotonic solution. (c) A cell having equal water concentration to its surrounding medium, the cell will neither gain nor lose water to the external medium. Such a solution is known as isotonic solution.
hope it helps you ☑️
