in Sri Lanka sinhalese were more but 18 percent were tamils who wanted separate state for them in Sri Lanka but Sri Lankan people suppressed tamils very cruely. tamils made one party LTTE and fought with Sri Lankan people but there was a major war and tamils were thrown out and defeated there was great loss to Sri Lanka economically many lost their lives it took so many months for them to be normal
