Consequences of majoritarianism are as follows-
The Sinhala only act claimed the superiority over the tamils.
This created a feeling of alienation among the tamils.
They felt that the constitution denied equal rights.
Therefore, they decided to raise their demands. They launched struggles.
All this led to a widespread conflict, later a civil war.
