In Sections 14-18, the Constitution guarantees equality before the rule of all men. It is difficult to discriminate against people by race , gender, religious or birthplace beliefs etc. However, in matters pertaining to employment in government services the State determines certain standards and requirements, however,they can not be racial in nature.

  • The quota was made for those people discriminated against in work & education. However, the Constitution forbids inequality between citizens and gives them all equal rights and privileges, and gives them basic rights. But the caste system still exists. That is still a reality. It would not be enough merely to provide statutory protections. Otherwise we would hope for more public consciousness.
