Zahiruddin Mohammad Babur defeated Ibrahim Lodhi of the Indian Lodhi dynasty in the battle of Panipat in 1526 and founded Mughal Empire and influenced to a great extent the war technology in the subcontinent. Babur is credited with introducing cannons in warfare when he invaded India.
