Answer: Fermentation is an anaerobic process which takes place in the absence of oxygen. It converts sugar substrates into alcohol and carbon dioxide.

It is used in all alcoholic beverages, in yogurts, in pickles, in medicines,in coffee and even in the production of fuels. it does not stop here, fermentation is used EVERYWHERE!
