Dangers and risks associated with GM ( Genetically Modified) crops.

1) Genetic Contamination/ Interbreeding

GM crops may interbreed with wild variety of crops, which may result in the disappearance of the introduced gene.

2) Competition with natural species

GM crops will have a competitive advantage over natural species which might make them invasive.

3) Increased selection pressure

Pressure may increase on them to evolve into resistant populations.

4) Adverse effects on health of people

GM crops may increase pathogenicity.

Risks of GM crops:

The greatest risk and danger brought about by GM nourishments is that they have adverse effect on the human body.
