1. Bohr's model was 2 dimensional
while atom is 3 dimensional.

2. Bohr's model was only for single electrons, it failed to explain spectra of multi electronic atoms.

3. Bohr's model could not explain magnetic field and electric field.

Hope it's useful.

limitations of bohr's theory:-
1) it is only applicable to atom /ion having single electron.
2) unable to explain Zeeman and Stark effect .
3) unable to explain shape of atom in three dimensional space.
4) unable to explain dual nature of electron .also it doesn't follow Heisenberg uncertainty principle.

aqibshaikh: it is called Zeeman and stark effect
KAS11: hmm thanks
abhi178: peiter Zeeman observed the splitting of spectral lines in the presence of a static magnetic field
KAS11: thank you both of u
abhi178: stark effect :-it is splitting and sifting of spectral line of a atom and molecule in the presence of an external electric field
abhi178: are you understand
KAS11: yes
abhi178: okay enjoy morden phyr
abhi178: physics
KAS11: : )
