Demerits of democracy---
1)Leaders keep changing in a democracy. This leads to instability.
2) Democracy is all about political competition and power play.There is no scope of morality.
3) Many people have to be consulted in a democracy that it leads to delays.
4) Elected leaders do not know the best interests of the people. It leads to bad decisions.
5) Democracy leads to corruption for it is based on electoral competition.
6) Ordinary people don't know what is good for them; they should not decide anything.

Democracy has some demirits to its credit like :-
1. Long time in taking decisions thus leads to delays in taking of decisions
2. Lots of people are involved in taking decisions
3. Quantity rather than quality is preferred. To take votes
4. Leads to inefficiency in work
5. Chances of corruption become very high
6. Political parties create chaos during election times and make false promises
7. Most of the people are careerists and opportunists thus are interested in only full filing there goals
