Explanation:

He was unable to locate hydrogen in the periodic table. Increase in atomic mass was not regular while moving from one element to another. Hence, the number of elements yet to be discovered was not predictable. Later on, isotopes of elements were found which violated Mendeleev's periodic law.

I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU ❤️^_^

THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS IS MY 1000TH ANSWER I M SO HAPPY❤️

Answer:

_______ANSWER_____

Following are the demerits of Mendeleeve's periodic law :--

1) He could not place Hydrogen at an appropriate position in his periodic table,in the tabular form.

2) There was no regular trend in the increasing atomic masses along the arrangement of elements in his table.

3) There were yet more elements to be discovered.

4) The isotopes which were discovered later failed to comply with his table.

5) Elements with completely different properties were placed in the same sub-group .For e.g.- Manganese (Mn) was placed in the halogen group.
