2. He can decide what type of irrigation sould he use for example drip irrigation, flood irrigation or sprinkler irrigation. This can be decided based on the pattern of previous years rainfall.

3. If he is solely dependent upon rainwater he might develop some kind of reservoir near his field so that he can irrigate his land later also.

4. He needs to perform the tilling of soils.
