it forms the covering of the edges of bones and supporting wind pipe,nose and pinna.it consists of clear ground matrix having chondroblasts in lacunae. cartilage is flexible and provides firm support due to this feature.

it forms the skeleton of vertebrate animals.it consists of osteoblasts embeddex in a hard matrix of calcium and phosphorus with circular canals called haversian canals
